[Learning in the Age of AI: Level 2] Differentiate Instruction with AI
Tailoring instruction to meet diverse learners in a classroom is challenging and time consuming but can yield results for students that are life altering and empowering. Finding the right mix of tools, strategies and resources will help teachers attain the goal of meeting the needs of all students in the classroom. Technology and Artificial Intelligence have done much to assist in this somewhat daunting task. In this course, participants will explore data-gathering tools to assess students' entry points to learning, explore instructional models and technology tools that foster differentiated instruction, and dive into AI tools that facilitate differentiation that help make the process much easier to accomplish.

Please join the LHRIC and PLCS for a full-day Sel-abration including Lunch.
This interactive event is designed for district and school decision makers, including principals, assistant principals, Directors of PPS or Counseling, as well as SEL teams such as school counselors, social workers, and psychologists. 2025-26 RECOVS MTSSI Lab: Understanding, Designing, and Implementing MTSS-I systems and structures
District MTSSi teams from SWBOCES's RECOVS Mental Health Grant Consortium will meet to discuss and collaborate around grant implementation through the lens of MTSS. Together, we will collaboratively explore the components of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports). Guided by the NYSED MTSS-I Pilot, we will investigate and design systems and structures. Our focus will be on exploring effective implementation strategies and utilizing data to enhance school and district practices. This group aims to share experiences, best practices, and develop tools to empower faculty and staff in meeting the unique needs of every student through the structures and guidelines provided by the RECOVS Mental Health Grant.

Orton Gillingham Educator Course- FALL Cohort
Laurie Cousseau, from Green River Literacy will provide training for teachers utilizing the Orton Gillingham methodology. This course meets the requirements for the OG Classroom Educator designation with the OGA (Orton-Gillingham Academy) Teachers will be provided with an overview of dyslexia and students with reading disabilities, the neurological brain base of reading, explicit multi-sensory based diagnostic and prescriptive teaching, the nuts and bolts of phonics and the linguistic structure of the English language, phonological awareness, syllable structure, spelling generalizations, oral reading fluency, using informal progress monitoring and benchmark data to inform instruction, multi-sensory strategies, and how to identify/support struggling readers and extend existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 programming.

Using the Read.Inquire.Write. Framework to Advance Knowledge & Skills in Secondary ELA & Social Studies
How can we support students in building strong reading, writing, and argumentation skills while deepening their understanding of historical and contemporary issues? This session introduces educators to the Read.Inquire.Write. framework from the University of Michigan, a research-based approach designed to help middle and high school students engage in disciplinary thinking through structured inquiry.
Participants will explore how to use the framework's scaffolded investigations to guide students in reading sources critically, analyzing evidence, and constructing written arguments-skills that are essential for success in both ELA and Social Studies. Educators will leave with practical tools and planning strategies to integrate Read.Inquire.Write. into their own classrooms to support literacy, content knowledge, and civic engagement.
The full day session will be followed by optional Zoom sessions in the following months focused on classroom application.

The second annual Recreation/Transition Fair will be hosted by Scarsdale and Pelham Public Schools, in collaboration with Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Chappaqua, Edgemont, and White Plains School Districts.
This fair is designed to provide students with disabilities and their families with valuable information about recreational/transition opportunities. A wide variety of vendors and representatives from state agencies will be present to highlight their programs and support. Many of these opportunities can be accessed through OPWDD, Self-Directed Funding, or self-pay options.
