A 12-week program (May-August) that offers a unique opportunity to individuals interested in building a career at a fast-paced, dynamic, public transportation authority.
Compensation: $20 / hour
The NYSBA Summer Internship Program runs May 26 – August 21, 2026 (selected candidates will have their start and end-date arranged in coordination with the Bridge Authority, taking into account school schedules through the end of June and college return at the end of August).

Key Responsibilities
● Assist with kitchen and bath remodeling projects
● Demolition, debris removal, and jobsite cleanup
● Load, unload, and transport materials (50+ lbs)
● Measure and cut materials under supervision
● Support carpentry and tile installation tasks
● Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work area
● Anticipate the needs of the lead mechanic and work proactively
Required Qualifications
● Basic carpentry knowledge (trade school, shop class, or hands-on experience)
● Ability to read a tape measure accurately
● Must own basic hand tools
● Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
● Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
● Reside within commuting distance of Montrose, NY
● Authorized to work in the United States
● Able to speak, read, and write English for safety and jobsite communication
● Punctual, dependable, and willing to learn
