Fall/Winter series begins Nov. 8

Fordham, SWBOCES announce speaker series for school and district leaders

The Fordham University Graduate School of Education’s Division of Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy and Southern Westchester BOCES are pleased to announce an upcoming speaker series for current and aspiring school and district leaders in the greater New York City area.

The fall/winter series includes:

  • Engaging in Continuous Improvement Through Improvement Science 
    When: Thursday, November 8, 5:00-6:30 p.m. 
    Presented by: Margaret Terry Orr, associate professor 
    Location: Room 228, Fordham Westchester (400 Westchester Avenue, West Harrison)
  • What We Are Learning About Principal Time Use – Current Research Findings and Implications for Practice 
    When: Tuesday, December 4, 5:00-6:30 p.m. 
    Presented by: Tiedan Huang, assistant professor 
    Location: Southern Westchester BOCES (450 Mamaroneck Avenue, West Harrison)
  • Leading Instructional Improvement – Striving for Instructional Coherence 
    When: Tuesday, January 15, 5:00-6:30 p.m. 
    Presented by: Elizabeth Stosich, assistant professor 
    Location: Room 228, Fordham Westchester (400 Westchester Avenue, West Harrison)

“Fordham University is dedicated to offering insightful programming to inspire current and future educational leaders,” said Terry Orr. “The Division of Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy is thrilled to partner with Southern Westchester BOCES for this series and look forward to thought provoking conversations with those in attendance.”

All sessions will include welcome remarks, the presentation and a Q&A segment. The series is a free service for educational leaders and alumni in the region. For those interested, there will be a follow-up discussion of Fordham’s masters and doctoral programs in educational leadership.
