Kathy Conley named new LHRIC Executive Director

Veteran educator named new LHRIC Executive Director to succeed Dr. Lauro

  The Southern Westchester BOCES Board of Education has named Kathy Conley the new Executive Director of the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center. Ms. Conley has most recently served as the LHRIC’s Assistant Executive Director. She will succeed Dr. Dennis Lauro, who will serve through Jan. 5.

The board appointed Ms. Conley at its Wednesday, Nov. 14, meeting. She will begin her new role on Dec. 28, 2018.

She began her professional career as a Corporate Data Analyst before entering the field of education as a high school math and science teacher. She moved on to building and district administration, holding the positions of principal, director of pupil personnel services, including special education, and assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction, professional personnel and technology.

Since 2003, she has immersed herself in all aspects of state data reporting and accountability and working with many districts to train staff in the use of data in their instructional decision making. In her most recent role, she has been directly responsible for instructional technology, state reporting, data warehousing, data analysis, test scoring and APPR compliance, while sharing oversight of all other LHRIC services with Dr. Lauro. Ms. Conley has been with the LHRIC for over seven years.

The mission of the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center is to provide K-12 Leadership with its partner districts to achieve their educational technology goals. The LHRIC is a nonprofit consortium providing educational and administrative technology services to 62 school districts in three counties. It is one of 12 Regional Information Centers throughout New York State.
