The Office of Public Information
The SW BOCES Office of Public Information provides
participants with a variety of services to enhance their
communication and public relations efforts. The Office produces
the official publications
of SW BOCES, including its Services Guide, Budget Book,
Annual Report, and 12 newsletters a year for our constituents.
Using trained professionals
in the public relations field, the office also provides
participating school districts with planned and targeted communications
services,
including:
- A skilled team of public relations professionals with specialties
in marketing, journalism/writing, graphic arts, and photography.
- Projects produced using state-of-the-art layout/design software and
equipment, including QuarkXPress, Adobe PhotoShop, and Adobe
Illustrator. Presentation projects using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Publications that can include calendars, newsletters, annual reports
and graduation programs, produced by a staff that has been
recognized by both the New York State and National School Public Relations
Associations for outstanding quality and achievement in the production of school
publications.
- Public relations projects using other media, including
CD-ROMs, videos, and assistance with web site content.
The SW BOCES Office of Public Information has established trusted
relationships with many area service providers, which promotes smooth
production schedules and generates economical printing quotations.
The staff of former journalists has also forged valuable relationships
with local media, built and nurtured on the basis of trust and respect.
