Digital Library Week ebook goals shattered
By any measure, Digital Library Week 2017 was a success. We met and surpassed our goal to increase ebook circulation by 15 percent over 2016, so Overdrive will donate one copy of Naruto Manga eBook Series, Volumes 1-5 and one copy of Origami Yoda eBook Series, Books 1-6, to she School Library System.
It's never been easier to use your phone to access and read great books!
Mount Vernon High School was the school library with the biggest jump in e-readership, winning a Kindle PaperWhite for the honor. The week wasn't half-over before Librarian Lorraine Monastra had exceeded her goal of 50 ebook circulations with a tally of 185.
"The Digital Library Week ebook celebration was a fantastic way to increase student awareness of the more than 4,100 ebook titles in our shared collection in the Southern Westchester BOCES School Library System Consortium," Director Pam Berger said. "I'm so proud of the growing usage of our collection. Every one of our participating librarians is a winner because of their cooperative effort toward a common goal of building ebook readership across the region."
