Meet new Nursing Program Coordinator Bridget Ciliberto
Veteran nurse and classroom instructor Bridget Ciliberto found her calling at SWBOCES and has been named Practical Nursing Program Coordinator.
Be safe. Be respectful. Be responsible. These are the goals of the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support program, and students in the SWBOCES program at Pocantico Hills work hard to show that they can follow these guidelines in their classrooms and throughout the school every day.
Students are recognized daily, weekly and monthly for their progress in meeting behavioral expectations. They receive a citizenship certificate from the principal each week they earn at least 90 percent of their points. Students who average 90 percent for the month are PBIS Superstars and receive special recognition on the bulletin board and a prize.
Our September Superstars each received a $5 coupon to use at the Pocantico Hills book fair. We were excited to see the students staying motivated to be safe, respectful and responsible for the month of October. And to our September stars, keep up the good work
Students receive explicit instruction regarding what behaviors are appropriate across settings and activities during the school day. They receive feedback on how they meet these expectations through a classroom and school point system. Students who require additional teaching and support receive that input throughout the school day.
