Architecture/Interior Design Students Prep for SkillsUSA Competition
Architecture/Interior Design students prepped for the upcoming SkillsUSA competition, to be held in March, by creating an architectural drawing of a bedroom complete with furniture and accessories.
Instructor Christine Ireland asked the students to add two extra-long twin beds, measuring 7 feet by 3 feet 6 inches, as well as two small desks, measuring 42 feet by 24 inches, in addition to two 18-inch round chairs.
The students were asked to draw their designs on quad paper or in AutoCAD and to choose a fun theme.
They were also required to provide a budget for the project.
All of the entries were judged by school counselor Lori Aufiero who chose winners Rhaven Black of Port Chester High School and Raiza Farfan of White Plains High School.
