Meet new Nursing Program Coordinator Bridget Ciliberto
Veteran nurse and classroom instructor Bridget Ciliberto found her calling at SWBOCES and has been named Practical Nursing Program Coordinator.
The sweet aroma of cherry and apple wafted through the Culinary Arts commercial kitchen for days before the Thanksgiving holiday as students got to work making pies for the annual SkillsUSA fundraiser.
A total of 320 pies were made. Approximately 180 of them were given to St. Augustine’s School in Ossining, an initiative that Chef Peter Tomaskovic runs each year.
The students made a combination of flavorful pies, including apple crumb, apple, cherry, and pumpkin. A total of $300 was given to the SkillsUSA club. The money will help fund the traveling expenses of students who qualify for the SkillsUSA competition, to be held in Syracuse next year.
