heterogeneity in their classrooms.
- The individual teacher can have a powerful effect on the
achievement of his/her students even if the school does not.

During his thirty-five years in education, Dr. Marzano has worked in

and tools for K--12 teachers and administrators. Dr. Marzano earned
his B.A. in English at Iona College, his M.Ed. In Reading and Language
Arts from Seattle University, and his Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction
from the University of Washington.
