SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING!

Practical Nursing  Full-Time Day or Part-Time Day or Evening Programs  veteran approved
Practical Nursing graduates are in demand!  Recent grads are reporting entry-level earnings of over $43,000.  Our LPN course is a 10-month Full-time Day or 20-month Part-time Day or Evening program, starting September and ending June.  Receive clinical experience in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities as well as classes in nursing theory, anatomy, medical/surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics, and the administration of medication.  Practical Nursing students qualify for the NYS Certified Nurse Assistant Examination.  Students completing the SW BOCES program earn a Practical Nursing License by taking and passing the National Council Licensing Practical Nursing Exam.  U.S. High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma (formerly GED) required.
PLEASE NOTE:  SW BOCES reserves the right to not accept on-line/distance learning diplomas or diplomas not issued through a State Education Department.  Individuals with a history of misdemeanor and/or felony conviction may not be eligible for licensure by the NY State Education Department.


        The following are required for acceptance into the Practical Nursing Program:

               a)  Submission of a complete application package
               b)  Acceptable scores on the SW BOCES PN Entrance Exam
               c)  Successful completion of the interview process
